Face to face chess action in Shropshire is continuing to make its comeback with a quickplay competition being held in Wellington on October 3.
Despite the autumn date, it is being billed as a summer quickplay, after the regular summer quickplays normally played around June were scuppered by coronavirus this year and in 2020.
Organiser is Athar Ansari and the venue is The Limes Hotel. It is for teams of four players, and players each have 15 minutes for all moves of the game, plus an extra five seconds added for every move they make. The all-day event starts at 10am.
