This year’s summer team rapidplay tournament will take place on Sunday June 19, at the Limes Hotel, Wellington. Because of space constrictions, entry will be limited to five teams. A written complaint was made to the Shropshire President that a Shropshire player had been using electronic assistance during the 20/21 Season. The President called a Special Committee, which investigated this complaint and then referred the matter to LiChess. Following a meeting today of the Shropshire Chess Association Council it has been agreed that SCA OTB activities can resume with immediate effect. League matches will resume on Monday 7 February. The Covid Protocols previously agreed and available here will remain in force. Minutes of the meeting are available here.
