A depleted Shrewsbury A side did well to win this match. The two reserves
on boards 4 and 5 played sharp attacking chess. Whilst Daniel Lockett fell to
a lightning counter attack against Gareth Edwards' French Defence, Andrew Lewis
seemed to have over-pressed when he sacrificed a piece for two pawns but eventually
caught Steve Tarr's King in the middle of the board to take the point. NB Shrewsbury
C beat Shifnal and Telford B 3-2 on the same occasion. Results doubtless on the
way.
