Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting will be held at Telepost, Shrewsbury on Wednesday, 15th July 2015 at 7.30pm.

Please ensure that any trophies held by your club are engraved and brought to the AGM for presentation, where required.

New clubs - Brewood Chess Club for 2016 season in principle – see Constitution
League rule discussion relating to attached discussion paper and proposal put forward. Under 5.9 of the constitution this limits the debate to.

Clarification of rules regarding grading list used and board order
Clarification re postponement criteria. (see attached document for wording)

Defaulting of matches leading to a points penalty / what constituents a team. (see attached document for wording).
Incremental time controls (see attached document for wording).
Substitute players from other clubs must only be eligible on grade order to play on the lowest board, as if the substitute came from the same clubs lower team.

- reason I do believe the 150 grade limit in div 2 for "borrowing a player from another club from div 1" is far too high.

At the moment, if our B team was a player short in div 2, we would grab 1 of our C team players and they would play on board 5.

It would be possible under current rules to use a player graded 149 from another club and put that player on board 1 - thereby creating probably the strongest team we could put out all season! This simply cannot be fair on other teams.
